On the 19th of September 2017 2 of our members of staff visited the Linnworks Linn Academy at the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham, part of the renowned NEC. This is the 5th year that the event has been running and has a wide range of speakers and workshops to do with eCommerce and online retail.

This event is designed to help online retailers get the most out of the Linnworks system which controls stock, orders, products and much more for their websites. It is not all focused on the Linnworks system though as there was the chance to connect with some of the biggest names in eCommerce including online giants such as eBay, Amazon and Asos. These speakers were there to discuss new developments in the different platforms as well as answer questions on how to grow from a small online retailer to a large worldwide company.

Some of the speakers included: Brain McBride, who was a former MD at Amazon UK during its high growth period, as well as being the current chairman of Asos & Wiggle;  Chris Dawson, the editor in chief of Tamebay, who prior to this sold through eBay for over 8 years and Rob Hattrell, VP ay Ebay UK.

Overall it was a very eye-opening day and gave us many tips as to how to improve our use of the Linnworks software as well as changes we can make as a business to improve the customer experience and ease of ordering, for you the end user!
