Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2017
Originally in the US, #BlackFriday is the day after #Thanksgiving and it is known for being the biggest day for shopping as extra large discounts are applied to lots of different products. The reason it is called Black Friday is it’s the day when shops aim to go from the red (debit) into the black (credit).
#CyberMonday is a marketing term to persuade people to shop online on the Monday after Thanksgiving in the United States. The term was coined by Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman, and made its debut on November 28, 2005 in a Shop.org press release.
